The Specials

Ladies and Gentleman, i give you the defining band of the 2-tone era. Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 30 years you probably know who they are. Anyway this is the first 2 records by them, The Specials and More Specials. Enjoy!

This is the (Dawning Of A) New Era!

Sam Cooke - The Man And His Music

A bit of a change of pace if you would say, one of my favorite soul artists. Sam Cooke is a legend of the Soul genre and help popularize the genre in the 60s and 70s. He has even been cited as a major influence in the modern ska and reggae scene having influenced bands as the Slackers, Westbound Train, and Deal's Gone Bad. Check it out if you like his contemporaries like James Brown, Bobby Womack, Curtis Mayfield, or Otis Redding. This record is a sort of "greatest hits" released in 1986 and contains most of his well known hits.
